In this special Awareness Week webinar, Clinical Psychologist Dr Ríon O'Farrell-Walsh will explore the neuroscience of compassion and its relevance to Dyspraxia/DCD across the lifespan.
The session will look at how compassionate experiences can influence areas of the brain involved in emotional regulation, attention, learning, motivation and social connection.
It will also explore how the experiences associated with living with Dyspraxia/DCD, including feeling misunderstood, criticised, overwhelmed or needing to work harder than others, can affect confidence, emotional wellbeing and stress over time.
The webinar will translate neuroscience and psychology into clear, accessible and practical ideas relevant to people with Dyspraxia/DCD, families, educators, employers and healthcare professionals.
