Stephen Hodnett, Senior OT and POTTS Programme Coordinator

Stephen joined the team at Dyspraxia/DCD Ireland in October 2021 as an Occupational Therapist with the organisation and developing telehealth services for DCD with the University of Limerick. In May 2025 Stephen assumed the new role of Senior Occupational Therapist and POTTS Programme Coordinator with the organisation building on his previous experience of developing and rolling out occupational therapy telehealth services.

Stephens prior experience of working as a primary school teacher in a number of settings for many years before becoming an occupational therapist gives him a unique perspective of both the health and educational aspects of DCD and he is eager to use his experiences and skills to support the people who use our service.

Stephen has facilitated the ‘Our Say In Our Schools’ resource with a number of our younger student members and has highlighted developing awareness and understanding of Dyspraxia/DCD and finding new ways to support people who use our service as two of his priorities.

Stephen enjoys spending his spare time listening to music, travelling, watching sports and cooking.
