Dr. Dorothy Armstrong has been an outstanding ambassador for Dyspraxia DCD Ireland for many years. Her dedication and leadership have made a lasting impact on our organisation and the wider DCD community. As a former member of our Board of Directors, Dr. Armstrong has represented Dyspraxia DCD Ireland at national conferences and education workshops, speaking passionately on behalf of individuals with DCD. She has championed systemic change by advocating to Government Departments and policymakers for improvements in the education system. In addition, Dr. Armstrong authored the book The Next Adventure, generously donating all profits to support our work. Her commitment, expertise, and advocacy continue to inspire and drive meaningful progress for people with DCD across Ireland.

Dr Áine O’Dea has been an incredible ambassador for Dyspraxia DCD Ireland, using her expertise to raise awareness and improve best practice in assessing and supporting individuals with Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD). Through her research and clinical work, Áine has helped shape how professionals understand and respond to DCD, ensuring that assessments are accurate and interventions are effective. She has shared her knowledge widely presenting at conferences, delivering training sessions, and creating resources that empower educators, therapists, and families. Her commitment to evidence-based practice and her passion for inclusion have made her a trusted voice in the DCD community and a valued advocate for our organisation.
